It may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Xifaxan is an antibiotic. It works by slowing down the bacteria"s ability to reproduce, allowing the body to fight the infection more effectively. Do NOT use Xifaxan if:

Proper storage of Xifaxan :Store Xifaxan at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
