Exelon is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by slowing the breakdown of a chemical in the brain, which increases the amount of that chemical in the brain. This chemical is thought to have an effect on memory and thinking ability. There is no evidence that Exelon alters the course of Alzheimer disease. Do NOT use Exelon if:

Proper storage of Exelon :Store Exelon at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) in a tightly closed container. Keep away from heat, moisture, and light.
