Bromfenac

Generic Name: Bromfenac (BROME-fen-ak)
Brand Name: Xibrom

Bromfenac is used for:

Treating eye pain and swelling in patients who have recently had surgery to remove cataracts. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Bromfenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) eye drop. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandin, a substance that causes inflammation (redness, swelling, irritation).

Do NOT use Bromfenac if:

  • you are allergic to any ingredient in Bromfenac
  • you are in late pregnancy

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
