Thyrotropin Alfa is a recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). It works by binding to TSH receptors on normal thyroid cells or on thyroid cancer tissue. This helps to determine if there are any thyroid cells or thyroid cancer cells remaining. Do NOT use Thyrotropin Alfa if:

Symptoms may include chest pain; dizziness; headache; hot flashes; irregular heartbeat; nausea; nervousness; shortness of breath; sweating; weakness. Proper storage of Thyrotropin Alfa :Store between 36 and 46 degrees F (2 and 8 degrees C). Mixed solution may be stored between 36 and 46 degrees F (2 and 8 degrees C) for up to 24 hours. Throw away any unused portion. Protect from light. Do not use after the expiration date. Keep Thyrotropin Alfa , as well as syringes and needles, out of the reach of children and away from pets.
