  • you will be receiving or have recently received a live typhoid vaccine

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Before using Cefdinir :

Some medical conditions may interact with Cefdinir . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

  • if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
  • if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances

This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if Cefdinir may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

How to use Cefdinir :

  • If you are taking Cefdinir and a product that contains iron, your stools may turn a reddish color. This is normal and not a cause for concern.
  • Diabetes patients - Cefdinir may cause the results of some tests for urine ketones or glucose to be wrong. Ask your doctor before you change your diet or the dose of your diabetes medicine.
  • Cefdinir may interfere with certain lab tests (eg, Coomb tests). Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know you are using Cefdinir .
