Generic Name: Calcitriol Oral Solution (kal-si-TRYE-ole)
Brand Name: Rocaltrol

Calcitriol Solution is used for:

Treating low calcium levels in your blood. It is also used to prevent muscle cramps and certain calcium phosphate disorders (such as chronic dialysis), and to regulate parathyroid hormone. It may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Calcitriol Solution is a form of vitamin D. It works by promoting proper absorption and use of calcium and phosphate by the body in normal bone development and maintenance.

Do NOT use Calcitriol Solution if:

  • you are allergic to any ingredient in Calcitriol Solution
  • you have high levels of vitamin D or calcium in the blood

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
